Our Story
Growing up in Nigeria, we saw what poverty does to families; parents choosing between providing food for their children and getting the medical care they desperately needed or children taking up labor and forgoing education. These are just a few of the hardships that some families continue to endure today. We also saw the compassion and kindness with which our parents helped those in need; this instilled in us the idea that everyone can be an agent of positive change in other people's lives. We embraced the values instilled in us to reach out to those in need and empower them with resources to overcome the challenges they face.
Now living in the United States, we continue to see poverty worsen in Nigeria. Periodically, we get news of people we know, friends and family in Nigeria dying of mostly preventable causes. Often, we would discuss ideas we believe could address various issues families face in Nigeria. So in 2018, we decided to form a foundation to put these ideas to work. In collaboration with volunteers and partners in Nigeria, we identify individuals and communities where we implement our projects which includes providing scholarships, sponsoring widows to establish sustainable businesses, charitable outreaches and free medical fairs. We hope that one day, poverty will be eradicated not just in Nigeria but all over the world where poverty is making life unbearable for people.
